Michelle's White House built by Black Slaves
No one alive today has ever owned a slave. More than 600,000 mostly white men died to make that decision. Middle-aged white men gave up their power and status so women and minorities could gain power and status.
As for the Obamas, I have said often that they did not have a typically black background and upbringing. They are some of the most privileged people to ever live in the White House.
I grew up in a town where the minorities were the majority. My father was a Mexican, half my siblings were Mexicans, our nearest neighbors were two black families who were like cousins to us. Ironically, the Lily-white Mormons lived on the other side of us and our three families - nine pasty white Mormons, five blotchy white Catholic Scotch-Irish, five Catholic brown Mexicans, two half-breeds and a dozen Southern Baptist black folks all ate, played, went to school and whatever together with no more problems than any other people had. As for my wife Michelle, 81% of the kids at her high school were black.
Since we moved to Washington in 2010 and to Montana in 2014, I can count on two hand how many black people I've seen here. So it is with great interest when I hear rural liberals screaming for equal rights when I doubt they even know a few, if any, black people.
I am also pretty dam tired of everyone of any race color or creed essentially blaming their failures on everyone else but themselves because I'd guess 8 times out of 10 they caused their own reasons for failure.
As a person with white skin, I cringe every time I hear phrases like "White Privilege" or "Black Lives Matter" and as long as Americans separate themselves by groups, we will always have this race and equal rights problem, which I really believe we had whipped back in the late 70s.
Meanwhile, Big Business and Big Government continue their conspiracy of convenience to make sure they collect their 99 percent while we are busy attacking each other over Facebook memes.
