Why do Blacks, Hispanics and the Poor support failed education policies?

Trump made a couple of campaign promises I hope he keeps: To eliminate or greatly reduce the Department of Education and the EPA. The IRS would be nice, too, but that's a different column.
Despite more than 50 years of different education reform laws, we spend more and more money with decreasing results. We spend the fifth most money per student in the developed world yet our students rank among the lowest in those same 30 countries. (See list below)\

HOW U.S. STUDENTS COMPARE INTERNATIONALLY:

According to the Program for International Student

Assessment (PISA), out of 34 countries, the U.S. ranks:

* 27th in math

* 17th in reading

* 20th in science

(These stats are taken from K-12 FACTS, Updated February 2016. From the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP), better known as the Nation’s Report Card:

Yet if anyone even suggests these facts, or any attempt to make any changes to this failing system, Liberals lose their minds. They immediately go to their MSNBC/Comedy Central playbook. They claim that reformers hate kids, teachers, unions, minorities and the poor.

Huh? Only in American politics can these facts be refuted while demonizing the people who simply point them out and ask for change.

I would think, logically, that those who are failed most often by the system, or who fail the system most often, would be frothing with anger to change the system. Yet look at the statistics below.

MSNBC actually used the graphic on the right in an attempt to support these policies!

ACHIEVEMENT GAP:

(What percentage of students score on a 100% scale)

  • 8th Grade Math Proficiency Among Subgroups

  • White: 45%

  • Black: 14%

  • Hispanic: 21%

  • 8th Grade Reading Proficiency Among Subgroups

  • White: 46%

  • Black: 17%

  • Hispanic: 22%

Incredibly, Black students, who score lowest on these tests, are the most likely to vote for Democrats who continue these failed practices then complain about White Privilege and Systemic Racism. Perhaps they have created these issues themselves when it comes to education.

If all this isn't enough to get some reform, how about the graphic here showing simple graduation rates.

Again, Hispanics, Blacks, Indians all graduate at significantly lower rates.

I hope Trump's administration is remembered for what it didn't do as much as what it did do.
