Lakeside-Somers PTA updates

Run Lock Fight Join us at LES, at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 20 for the monthly PTA meeting, and to hear from Run, Lock, Fight Instructor, Doug Brown. The staff at SMS and LES went through this training and are equipped with tools to keep our kids safe, in even the most difficult circumstances.

PTA member of the month We appreciate all of our PTA members and supporters, but this month we want to spotlight Tina Lerum. Tina is the mental health specialist for the district and invests in our kids everyday. She has been pivotal in the success of PTA; chairing holidayfest committees and art night. Tina is a talented artist and dedicated community member. We are thankful for all she has done for our schools and the PTA over the last several years of involvement. We couldn’t do it without you, Tina.

Art Night The PTA partnered with The Artists and Craftsman of the Flathead (ACF) to host Art Night. Local art night artists will teach classes with students, Artists and Craftsmen of Flathead Sign up sheets have been sent home in Friday Folders. The PTA is seeking parent and teacher volunteers to assist artists in their classes at 6 p.m., Feb. 13. Grant Application Process Mid-September letters are mailed to potential or interested 501(c)3 organizations. The Funding Application must be completed and returned by October 15 Click Here for Application Applications are reviewed by the Board and Committee and Allocations are determined. Verification letters are mailed and must be returned before December 1. Checks are mailed about December 15.
