* West Shore Community Dinner. Everyone invited.

Heads Up. We are having another West Shore Community Dinner coming up Apr 27, 5-6:30 PM. The last one was a roaring success. This time it will be a ham dinner with scallop potatoes and all the accoutrements. Again it is being hosted by several of our local movers & shakers and it is FREE! As always, it is being held at The Gathering Place (The building just behind the Methodist chapel across from the park on Hwy 93). See you there. (Donations to offset costs are gratefully accepted.)

* Community Garden: Reserve your plot: Spring Work Day. April 28.

Our community garden in Lakeside will be hosting its Spring work day this Saturday, April 28th, from 1-2 PM. Bring some cookies or drinks to share if you like, those always go over well. This would be a good time to get your seeds and reserve your plot as well. It is just $25 per year for your very own 4x8 plot and the soil is very fertile. Contact Gina Jepson at LakesideGarden59922@gmail.com to reserve plot.

* Lucky is looking for volunteer drivers this year.

Our favorite hard working traffic control officer is soon to start his patrol. (If you are local, you know what I mean, if not, well, you may as well ignore this post cause I am not going to explain it.) If you would like to lend an occasional hand and chaperone Lucky a few weeks a year, that would be wonderful. We have a few drivers and more would be very welcome. Call me and we can go over the process. Dan Benesch 871-5548

* Requests For Help:

Clean Fill Wanted: If you are excavating locally and have to haul away dirt & rocks, lets talk: A few locals have asked me to use this letter and my “Clean Fill Wanted” sign to help them get dirt to fill in some low spots on their property. I was able to do that a couple of years ago, and am ready to do it again this year. So…. Please don’t haul your clean fill out to some distant dump site, we have several places for it locally. NOTE: It must be clean fill, no stumps or construction materials. Rocks are fine.

On a related note: If you are a local and need some clean fill for one of your projects, give me a call and I will add you to the list of potential recipients. There is no charge for this service.

Well, that is all for now. Hope to see you at the dinner this Friday and the community garden this Saturday.

Remember: If you would like to put out a request for help via this email, just draft up the message and email it to me. I don’t promise when the next email will go out, or that your request will be in it, but it doesn’t hurt to give it a try.
