Readers ask: The Cross on The Hill

Reader Amanda Jones asked if The Beagle could dig up something about that towering cross above Highway 82. We had lots of input from many who are inspired and knowledgeable and the best we could verify came from Michelle N Stan, members of the Kalispell New and Used Facebook group. According to them, and supported by others, three brothers, Ed, Don and Dave Ottosen erected The Cross on their family’s property. One of the brothers still lives at the base of the cross and maintains it. One lives east of it and one brother passed away. Dave has since passed away. Dave was my husband’s father.
