JOB POSTING - Lakeside Somers Chamber of Commerce Executive Director
The Lakeside Somers Chamber of Commerce is hiring a part-time executive director position responsible for the general operations of the chamber. This is an independent contractor position and requires a sub-contractor’s license. The executive director (ED) would be supervised by the chamber board of directors.
Responsibilities include:
· Management of all chamber communications via phone, email and mail
· Stock and maintain chamber locations
· Maintain members records
· Recruit new businesses
· Educate members on chamber benefits
· Attend monthly board meetings
· Organize general membership meetings
· Coordinate all marketing and advertising
· Create and distribute monthly e-newsletter and other announcements
· Maintain the chamber website and work with developers on larger projects
· Manage chamber social media pages
· Event coordination for various community/chamber events
· Organize fundraising efforts
· Apply for grant funding for chamber/community projects
Applicant should be well-versed in all Microsoft programs, Constant Contact, Social Media platforms, and Gmail. Experience with Adobe InDesign and Word Press preferred.
Applicants should have strong ties to the Lakeside Somers area and a passion for community involvement. The right person will be self-motivated but also willing to work with a team. Applicant must be detail-oriented, enthusiastic, and have the desire to guide the chamber to future growth and success benefitting the west shore community.
Hours: 20-35 hours a month
Pay: $500/month with growth potential
