I am a journalist. It's a hobby, a job and a lifestyle.

 

AS in engineering, BS in Liberal arts and 12 units of Education

 

33 years as a journalist, journalism adviser and teacher, lecturer, marketer, house flipper, volunteer coach and dog lover

 

Euphorically married to Michelle Lovato for 24 years. We raised three daughters who are much better adjusted and functional than we are.

 

We have rescued more abandoned dogs than we can count.

 

My Dad was a Mexican born in Belen, NM, in 1927. His first language was Spanish and he didn't learn English until he went to school when he was five. He volunteered to fight in WWII when he was 14 because he said even combat would be better than working on the ranch with his father. My Mom is Scotch-Irish and became a teacher. 

Why these two people got together is beyond me.
